Enclosure Ho..
No 75

Translation.
(Extract from Kwok Man San Han, Canton. 17th October, 1927).
Amended Regulations prohibiting secret sale and
importation of British goods.
The 55th Committee meeting of the Comission of
All Classes in Kwangtung for the Extension of the Anti-
British Boycott was held yesterday (October 16th). It was
resolved that Searching Pickets should be properly organised
to examine British goods, and that a manifesto should be
issued for the information of the masses of all classes so
that they may have a clear understanding. At the same time
15 regulations for the prohibition of the secret sale and
importation of British goods were suggested, passed, and
notified to the public. We now publish the full text below
for the early information of our readers.
Regulations by the Commission of All Classes in
Kwangtung for the Extension of the Anti-British soycott
for the prohibition of secret sale and importation of
British goods.
(1) From the date of the despatch of Searching Pickets by
our Commission (i.e. 15th October) nobody shall import any
British goods in breach of our patriotic movement.
(2) No merchant shall transport any of his stock of British goods, which have been duly reported on the proper form in
accordance with the rules, unless he has complied with the
regulations enforced in respect of passes. Such passes are
issued for purposes of safeguarding the merchants against loss for the time being, but the Executive Committee when necessary or at a reasonable time, may by resolution at a meeting, refuse to issue them or withdraw them.
